Video Games Today
Video games are taking over the world. All kids want to do in this new generation is to sit inside all day and play video games. What happened to begging your parents to stay out late to go play at the park? As the video game systems evolve, the more addicting they are becoming. I feel that it is a huge issue, especially in the United States of America. Video games are creating obesity among young children and causing serious health issues. They may even be causing violence in teenagers today. Half of the video games that are being made today involve extreme measures of violence. In most of them you are shooting, stabbing and even running over people. There are even some games where the objective is to kill cops and take over cities. Parents are buying their children these games and allowing them to play them without any supervision. If I were a parent there is no way I would ever let my children play these games. I would also make them go play outside every day and would limit their playing time. Video games are also causing social problems amongst children. Kids are happy with sitting in their room all day alone and do not even care about making friends to go hang out with. Not only are video games addicting to young children; they are even becoming very popular with adults. They have come out with several addicting games on cellphones now. Games such as Words With Friends, Hanging With Friends, Family Feud and Draw Something are becoming daily rituals for adults. My parents and my other friends’ parents will be playing these games with us all day; even when they are at their jobs. The scariest part is that technology continues to evolve and games are going to become more popular

Spring Break 2012
My spring break I did not plan to do anything besides
working the entire week. A couple days before spring break started, my good
friend Vlad called me and asked me if I wanted to go to Panama City Beach with
him. Without really thinking about it, I told him yes. The trip was only for
four days so I would still be able to work part of it and make some money. We
left Thursday morning around four o'clock a.m. Once we arrived and checked in
to the hotel, we all hit the beds. After about a three hour nap, we all changed
in to our bathing suits and went down to the beach. When the sun went down we
all decided to go back to the hotel and go to bed. Refreshed on Friday morning,
I took a couple mile jog down the beach to start the day. I had gotten back to
the room after my jog and all of my friends were gone. I tried calling them but
they had all left their phones in the room. I searched all over for them for
about two hours before I finally decided to give up. I had decided to go down
to the pool by myself and try to get a tan. As I was laying out my friends met a couple of people. Without thinking about it, I followed them up to their room. Being in their
room was the last thing I remembered as I woke up the next morning. I had lost
my phone and woke up with a huge cut on my nose. Luckily I went down to the
security office and they had found my phone at the pool. The only possible explanation
for me not remembering anything was that I had been given some kind of drug.
Even though being freaked out about the drug; it was our last night and all I
wanted to do was hang out with my friends all day at the beach. We had a couple
of drinks and were hanging out with some girls that we met and having a great
time. I went up to our room to go the restroom when one of the guys I was with
decided to throw a beer can off the balcony. Two cops came to our room and
threatened to evict us if no one would confess to throwing the can. The guy who
threw wouldn’t confess so i decided to take the blame so we wouldn't all get in
trouble. As soon as I told them i did it, they put me in handcuffs and took me
to jail. I spent the last eighteen hours of my vacation in jail before i was
released and able to go home. After i had gotten back to Georgia, I had to go
back down there three days later to go to court. I was charged with disorderly
intoxication and have to pay a $450 fine. The only positive thing that came out
of the trip was that I learned never to take the blame for anything that you did
not do!

Native American Picture
In this picture I see what looks to be like a Native American wearing a hilarious giant yellow outfit. I am thinking that maybe it is a mascot of some kind. It is in the design of a chicken outfit with pictures of horses sown into it. He is standing in front of an old run down house of some kind. It could be some kind of protest that he is involved in. It might be showing how they got kicked out of the area; similar to how the pilgrims took over their land a long time ago. Native Americans are very cultural and spiritual kind of people. They always have stood strong in what they believed in and are very powerful men. It looks like to me like he is the head of his troops and is a chief of some kind. He has both arms pointed up and they are going in opposite directions. I have a feeling that this is some kind of sign of peace in their culture. The building is all beaten up, so maybe there has been some kind of a battle going on. I am very interested in knowing where this picture was taken and how long ago. If I were to take a guess, I would have to say it would be somewhere in a third world country. I do not believe that it was taken in the United States because you do not see destruction to houses like that. If there was some kind of battle that happened and if it was in the United States, I would have definitely have heard about it on the news. When I get home after class, I am going to research this picture on the internet and find out exactly what this picture is about. I think it was a great exercise because it allowed me to really use my mind and think about what it could be. We should start doing more exercises like this in class.

Love
Love is an uncontrollable feeling that one has and it is
impossible to define. I feel that you know you are in love when you are willing
to put your significant other before yourself. The only thing that matters to
you is making your loved one the happiest possible. A great example would be
the Northern Illinois shooting incident. A student Daniel Parmenter went to a
class with his girlfriend to be her on Valentine’s Day. When the shooter
starting firing, Daniel jumped on top of his girlfriend to protect her from the
gunman. He was shot and killed but his girlfriend made it out alive with no
injuries. This is an amazing story that shows that real love exists out of
there in the world today. Love can be one of the greatest feelings that one can
have, but it can also be one the worst. It is the hardest to love someone and
have them not love you back the same way. Broken hearts can last forever and
are not easy to recover from. Having you heart broken by someone can affect you
in future relationships. It can make you not want to put your heart on the line
for anybody for the rest of your life. Some people will wait around for the one
they love to come back and waste a lot of their life waiting. It is hard to
realize that they are not the one for you and that there are plenty of other
people out there. I believe that you cannot look for love and that love will
find you when you least expect it. You will know when you have found it and you
will be extremely happy when you do.

Atlanta Braves 2012 Season
Atlanta Braves have a great shot at making the playoffs in
the 2012 season. Their team has been getting better over the last few years.
The positive part about the Braves organization is that they bring up some up
the top prospects in the country. Three to five years ago they had some of the
best recruits in baseball. Even though these players were very young and
immature at the time and could not make it the playoffs, they have shown signs
of maturity. These young prospects that we have been watching for the last
several years, are now turning into the veterans that we need to make it to the
playoffs. Most of them were coached by one of the best coaches in all of Major
League Baseball (MLB) and were taught more than a lot of other players to ever
play the game. The Braves have also made a few transactions in the offseason
that will help the ball club. Fortunately for the organization, they have one
of the best pitching rotations in the MLB. In the game of baseball, pitching is
the key to winning games. If you have a great pitching staff then it is hard
for the other team to produce an offense and score runs against you. They also
kept Chipper Jones which is the heart and soul of the ball club today. He is
getting a lot older and starting to get injured more frequently, but he is
still putting up the numbers to be an Atlanta Brave. Not only does he help our
offense tremendously, but he is also a mentor to a lot of the younger players
on the team. With all of these combined factors; I feel that the Braves are a
very strong team and have a lot of potential to be World Champions this year.

Credit
It’s just a credit card right? No, this is what most
teenagers and several adults believe. Credit will stick with you throughout
your entire life. Credit is the leading essential to becoming successful in
life today. If you have bad credit, you will not be able to finance anything.
What happens when you have kids and they need new shoes, clothes, toys, etc.
You are working just to make ends meet and you would like to be able to afford
all those nice things for your children, but you decided to rack up your credit
cards when you were young and now have to live with those consequences. Maybe
your car breaks down or your washer and dryer go out, it would be nice to be
able to put those items on a credit card but you are unable to with bad credit.
On the other hand if you opened a few credit cards and paid them off when you
were younger which means now you are probably in good shape. You will now able
to open up small loans and continue to build your credit even higher. Once your
credit is at a high enough score you are able to numerous amount of things;
such as finance a brand new car, house, or take a vacation across the country.
As great as all of that sounds, do not get carried away and start doing all of
these things at once to where it becomes impossible to pay off. That will lower
your credit score and it is a lot harder to raise your score than it is to
lower it. Everyone needs to be aware of how important credit is and not to
abuse credit cards; so they can do well for themselves in the future.

Superbowl Winner?
Who do I think is going to win the Super Bowl this year? The
New York Giants are the hottest team in the National Football League (NFL)
right now. They went through the first two games of the playoffs as if they
were playing college teams. The Atlanta Falcons were the best team in the
National Football Conference (NFC) last year and are a team with high respect
in the NFL. The reason I mention this is because the New York Giants embarrassed
the Atlanta Falcons by holding them to only two points through the entire first
game of the playoffs this year. The Green Bay Packers who were the Super Bowl
champions last year and only lost one game all season long this year; became
the next challenge for the Giants. The Giants blew past them by scoring a total
of thirty-seven points. They also held the most feared offense in the NFL to
only twenty points throughout the whole game. In the NFC Championship Game
versus the San Francisco 49ers; they struggled a little bit but still managed
to pull out the victory in overtime. It was one of the most epic games I have
seen in my lifetime and I feel like it gives them huge momentum going into the
Super Bowl. The Giants are led by Eli Manning who is the hottest quarterback in
the postseason. Eli has three of the most impactful wide receivers in football
today as targets to hit. Not only do they have the hottest offense, they have
the best defensive line that is run by Justin Tuck and Jason Pierre-Paul. They
put constant pressure on the opposing quarterback and do not give them any time
to make a plan. Personally, I do not believe the New England Patriots have any
kind of chance to beat the Giants.
