My spring break I did not plan to do anything besides
working the entire week. A couple days before spring break started, my good
friend Vlad called me and asked me if I wanted to go to Panama City Beach with
him. Without really thinking about it, I told him yes. The trip was only for
four days so I would still be able to work part of it and make some money. We
left Thursday morning around four o'clock a.m. Once we arrived and checked in
to the hotel, we all hit the beds. After about a three hour nap, we all changed
in to our bathing suits and went down to the beach. When the sun went down we
all decided to go back to the hotel and go to bed. Refreshed on Friday morning,
I took a couple mile jog down the beach to start the day. I had gotten back to
the room after my jog and all of my friends were gone. I tried calling them but
they had all left their phones in the room. I searched all over for them for
about two hours before I finally decided to give up. I had decided to go down
to the pool by myself and try to get a tan. As I was laying out my friends met a couple of people. Without thinking about it, I followed them up to their room. Being in their
room was the last thing I remembered as I woke up the next morning. I had lost
my phone and woke up with a huge cut on my nose. Luckily I went down to the
security office and they had found my phone at the pool. The only possible explanation
for me not remembering anything was that I had been given some kind of drug.
Even though being freaked out about the drug; it was our last night and all I
wanted to do was hang out with my friends all day at the beach. We had a couple
of drinks and were hanging out with some girls that we met and having a great
time. I went up to our room to go the restroom when one of the guys I was with
decided to throw a beer can off the balcony. Two cops came to our room and
threatened to evict us if no one would confess to throwing the can. The guy who
threw wouldn’t confess so i decided to take the blame so we wouldn't all get in
trouble. As soon as I told them i did it, they put me in handcuffs and took me
to jail. I spent the last eighteen hours of my vacation in jail before i was
released and able to go home. After i had gotten back to Georgia, I had to go
back down there three days later to go to court. I was charged with disorderly
intoxication and have to pay a $450 fine. The only positive thing that came out
of the trip was that I learned never to take the blame for anything that you did
not do!
